I thought the exhibition was an amazing learning experience. I created awareness about disabilities and it opened my eyes to a list of things about disabilities and people with disabilities.
Seeing how passionate people were about their topic and their creative expression groups. The opening ceremony started and I suddenly got so nervous. Watching all the other groups perform so confidently.
At first I felt confident to start talking to everyone and I was eager to start but once I saw people coming in the open space I started to get really nervous and scared about what people would think about my movie. Everyone was interested in my topic (disabilities) and asked me some questions.
The guests were all amazing when it came to giving me feedback weather it was constructive criticism or positive feedback. Some people even shared their experiences about disabilities, some about people they know who have a disability or someone who they don’t know and they just saw.
Learning about disabilities has really changed my opinion about people with disabilities because I have found out that some people with disabilities can do a lot of things I can and learn, play and think like I can.
I would love to know if you were disabled how you would feel?
