Presentation Tool Workshops – Creating the WOW factor
Exhibition, Unit of Inquiry August 30th, 2012On Wednesday you attended a workshop on presentation modes/tools. The aim in these workshops was to inquire into a presentation mode and identify the criteria that are present in a REALLY good painting, poster, PowerPoint, movie, animation, diorama or 3D display.
Please tell me about the following:
1. What new things did you learn today about creating powerful visuals?
2. Was it a worthwhile workshop? Why or why not?
Thank you.

I went to the poster workshop, and I learnt a lot about what makes a good poster, a great poster. And that was things like design, colours, font, size, message and more….
The poster workshop was really worthwhile because I gave a second think about my poster, that I was going to do, and now I have a whole new design for my poster. And my new design is more eye-catching and powerful.

1. I went to the poster workshop, I found it really interesting and I learnt that you should just keep your poster short and simple.
2. I thought it was definitely worthwhile because it has helped me learn how to make a proper good poster.

In the poster workshop I learnt how to make an interesting poster rather than just doing a question then paragraph, question then paragraph.
I think the workshop was worth while because I am making a poster for my visual and I want to make it eye catching so I learnt how to make posters interesting not boring so that nobody will want to come and look and see what I am doing.

Hi 6 Gimmel,
I really like the videos. I liked how you used pictures to show what you were learning about posters. I am interested to see what your posters will look like in the end.
I am in year 3 GBH.
What is your favourite part of the blog?
